2026 Moose Hunt Package

Here at the historic Flying Eagle Lodge, we are wonderfully situated at the center of Sportsman’s paradise. Each year, as summer comes to an end, the leaves begin to change their hue signaling the beginning of fall and yet again another much anticipated hunting season.

For our avid outdoorsmen, it’s time to put the fishing tackle away and get out into the woods where the heart of a hunter is most content.

The Maine Guide

We have partnered with Tobey Brook Guide Service for an all-inclusive moose hunt. They are a family owned, 4^th generation Maine Guide service that have been hunting these lands for many years. The current generation, Tobey and Charles Tomah, have superior knowledge, skills, and talent that has been handed down from the previous generations. They are top-notch Guides that have had amazing success rates for both family hunts and guided hunts. Undoubtedly, they promise to give you the experience of a lifetime. The Hunt:

This Hunt will be for a bull moose tag in WMD 19. https://www.maine.gov/ifw/hunting-trapping/hunting/laws-rules/hunting-areas.html
Includes the permittee and sub-permittee.
You will get a 6-day guided trip with a registered Maine Guide from September 27th – October 4th.
Transportation from the guide, to and from the field.
Recovery of the harvested Moose and delivery to the butcher shop.
Butchering fees ARE included in the package.

Lodging Experience:

You will check-in September 27th for dinner and depart October 4th after breakfast. Making the trip a 7-night stay.
Meals consist of Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner.
You will stay in a cozy cabin located on the edge of beautiful Lewey Lake.
Cabin has all linens, full kitchen, bathroom, screened porch, TV, Wi-Fi, and outdoor fire pit.
Other amenities include a pool table in the lodge’s game room and free use of canoes and kayaks.

What You’re Responsible For:

Bringing proper hunter equipment (i.e. weapon of choice) and gear. Weather in Maine varies, and you should be prepared for cold, warm, and rainy weather.
Hunting Licenses for both permittee and sub-permittee.
Any shipping cost of meat and/or any desired taxidermist fees.
Any gratuities that you feel both the lodge and/or the guides deserve.
Travel costs to get you to and from the lodge.

Maine Requirements to Purchase:

Hunting License Required – Applicants must obtain a Maine big game hunting license before the permit can be issued.

Minimum Age is 10 – The hunter, the sub-permittee, and the alternate sub-permittee must be 10 years of age by the opening day of the moose season.

Hunter Safety – All applicants 16 years of age and older must comply with Maineâ€™s hunter safety law before a hunting license can be issued.

Three-year waiting period – After winning a Maine moose hunting permit you must wait three years to become eligible to win another one (so if you received a permit in 2022, 2023, or 2024, you are not eligible for 2025). This waiting period affects permit holders only. It does not affect sub-permittees or alternate sub-permittees. Also, this restriction does not impact those who have won moose permits through the auction. A person who won an Auction Permit in 2022, 2023, or 2024 is still eligible to receive a Hunting Lodge Permit in 2025.
